The
Smoky Mountain Romance Writers sponsor The Laurie, a contest for unpublished
authors, or authors who have not been published in the past five years. We
do judging workshops yearly to ensure quality. It's a tough contest, and
we've had great success. Several winners have gone on to be published as a
direct result of requests from the final judges, or as a result from the
feedback and critique of our first round judges.
