Our officers are committed to providing leadership and taking SMRW into new directions (as well as down the tried and true paths) which are opening daily in our industry. Education and information are essential tools, and we strive to provide the "latest and greatest" in craft, industry, and technology to our members.

President: Teresa Delaney

Award winning author Teresa Delaney is one of the founding members of SMRW, and was awarded the Chapter's service award, the Ellie, in 2001. A huge fan of science fiction shows such as Star Trek, Quantum Leap, the X-Files, and Stargate SG-1, she readily admits they influence her writing. Contact Teresa

Vice-President/Events Coordinator: Betty Harrell

Betty lives in Athens with her boyfriend Allan and their two dogs. She currently is writing a Romantic Suspense novel and a few other projects in the making. Carolynn Sue Carey is a founding member of the Smoky Mountain Romance Writers and has served in the past as treasurer and as newsletter editor. She is an award-winning author of traditional romance (Avalon Books) and of traditional Regency romance (Cerridwen Press’s Cotillion line). Contact Sue

Secretary: Petrina Aubol

Petrina Aubol, or Pet as everyone calls her, is a recent resident of the Knoxville Valley in rural Tennessee. Formerly in the radio business, and living in Maryland, Pennsylvania and upstate New York, she loves writing while the cows romp in nearby fields. That’s why all of her women’s fiction stories have happy endings. One book has been published and three others are almost there. Contact Petrina

Leanne Tyler is the founding member of SMRW and the recipient of the Chapter's first service aware, The Ellie, in 1998. She lives in the South and her writing reflects her heritage. Leanne writes sensual southern romances whether historical or contemporary. Contact Leanne
